"Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum" Object Description
Two rectangular pieces of varnished wood, hinged together with wire, and painted with discs and Chinese numerals in black and red. Compass sunk in glazed center of tower piece. Brass wire stretched between the two pieces serves as sun dial indicator.
