This series of paintings hanging high in a row here feature various trading posts of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in Asia. It was a network between which not only products but also enslaved people were transported. The VOC shipped between 660,000 and 1,135,000 people in the 17th and 18th centuries.

De reeks schilderijen die hier hoog op een rij hangt, toont verschillende handelsposten van de Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (VOC) in Azië. Het was een netwerk waartussen niet alleen producten, maar ook tot slaaf gemaakte mensen getransporteerd werden. De VOC verscheepte in de 17de en 18de eeuw tussen de 660.000 en 1.135.000 personen.
