Gezicht op de drukke straat voor het Morita kabuki theater in Saruwakamachi, Edo (het huidige Tokyo). Op verhogingen bij de ingang van het theater zitten de kaartverkopers. Aan weerszijden naast het theater zijn theehuizen afgebeeld. Boven de kaartverkopers grote schilderingen van scenes uit de op te voeren toneelstukken.
