This oil painting is by English artist Frank Bramley, considered to be one of the “leading figures” of the Newlyn School, along with Walter Langley and Stanhope Forbes. In contrast to other members of the school, Bramley specialized in interiors and worked on combining natural and artificial light in his paintings. Depicting a quiet scene of two seamstresses playing a game, Domino! is considered to be on of the finest examples of Bramley’s work.
