About the work

Four straight cylindrical turned legs on inverted turnip-shaped feet; one leg to front. Eight cylindrical stretchers below the straight seat rails. Back and seat fully upholstered in black leather nailed over hair and burlap. Cresting is an upholstered semicircle. Seat is rhomboid, one acute angle to front. Wrought iron moveable bracket attached to right upright of tub-like back supports scrolled wood reading rack. A provincial style.
